INSTRUCTIONS
1. Choose the notch radius r
Three different notch radius are available. Choose between 0.05mm, 0.30mm and 1.00mm.
2. Choose the sheet thickness t1, t2
The allowed sheet thicknesses t1, t2 depend on the chosen radius. Following t1, t2 thicknesses are available:
3. Choose the leg length l1
The allowed leg length l1 depend on sheet thickness t1.
Following condition needs to be fulfilled:

Following conditions need to be fulfilled:
5. Press button "Calculate SCFs"

4. Choose a and z
Following conditions need to be fulfilled:
a = 25° - 80° |
z = 0.5 - 1 |
5. Press button "Calculate SCFs"

Neuronal Network
The following picture shows the Neuronal Network Algorithm used for SCF calculation.
The neuronal network consists of four different layers. Each layor conveys a matrix and a weightening function.
For this neuronal network the tanh is used as weightening function. The entire algorithm is shown in the picture below.
Polynomial Regression Function
The following picture shows the Polynomial Regression Functions used for SCF calculation.
The regression coefficients stored in the table depend on the load case and the geometry.
The left side of the table provides the coefficients for the SCF at the weld toe.
The right side of the table provides the coefficients for the SCF at the weld root.
